Modelrock Favourite’s

I am a lashasholic! I’ll admit it. Anyone who is close to me knows that i love wearing big dramatic eyelashes, I am rarely seen without them.

I think that eyelashes help bring glamorous makeup looks together and helps frame your face. The bigger the lashes the better i say!

Modelrock lashes have always been my go to brand for dramatic full looking lashes. I love the quality and style that this brand has to offer, best of all Modelrock lashes are very comfortable to wear all day as they dont have a thick band that jabs into the corner of your eye which less quality lashes do most of the time.

Modelrock lashes are made from human hair which is higher quality than synthetics. They can be worn multiple times & are so much more comfortable which is why i always choose them over most brands.

If you are a beginner with false eyelashes and have never tried to put them on yourself, dont be afraid because eyelashes take lots of practice to perfect. These lashes are probably the most easiest lashes to put on as the band is flexible and mimics the shape of the eye perfectly.
Each time you put on eyelashes you will get better and better so dont be afraid even if the glue freaks you out a little bit!

Here’s a few tips & tricks to remember when applying falsies!

1. Trim the eyelashes to fit the contours of your eyelid shape before putting any glue on.
placing them against your lash line to see if they fit perfectly and then trimming them is the way to go. DO NOT TRIM THEM WHILST THEY ARE ON YOUR EYELASHES OR HAVE GLUE ON THEM! THAT IS A BIG NO NO.

2. Once you have the desired fit for your falsies make sure that you bend them and flex them by wrapping it around your finger for 30 seconds or so. this mimics the shape of your lash line and makes it so much easier to place on your actual eyelashes.

3. Place a thin line of lash glue only! do not use any other type of glue as it is not safe!

4. Wait 30 seconds before placing the lash on your actual lash line as it makes it easier to place and doesn’t slide out of place because it becomes more tacky which makes them easier to apply. This is the most important rule when putting on your own false lashes

5. When placing false eyelashes on your real lash line you may want to use tweezers or lash tweezers to make it easier to apply. I prefer tweezers instead as i think its easier to work with.

6. Make sure to start from the middle when placing the lashes on the lash line then the sides. I find it creates the perfect placement and looks nicer on the eye as you get an accurate position.

7. If you cannot get the lashes looking right, take them off and retry because sometimes it is just the way you have applied the lashes which may not be directly on the lash line.

AC on Tour Palette by Australis Cosmetics

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to The Tabak Spot.

I love trialing and reviewing new highly sort after products whether it be popular brands, luxury items or affordable products that are highly accessible to everyone. I want my fellow beauty lovers to know what products are in style, what are the best to use to get a flawless look and how to use them them right way.

Throughout my blog i will do a lot of reviewing of my favorite products, popular brands and beauty favourites that everyone is raving about.

Australis cosmetics is one of my favorite brands and i always love to use there products as i believe they are such high quality products for such an affordable price and that is quite hard to find in Australia, especially in Melbourne where everything is double the price. So,  when i finally got my hands on the highly sort after Ac on tour Australis contouring & Highlighting kit i was so excited to try it!

I have to say this palette was very hard to find and believe it or not i found this little beauty at a big w store in sunshine out of all places! it was a miracle and it only cost me $16. wow.

The palette has 6 custom shades that are perfect to highlight and contour the face like a pro artist would. It reminds me slightly of the Anastassia Beverly hills highlighting and contour palette in aspects of the shades and concept idea.

I believe it is a more affordable palette unlike the Anastassia Beverly hills palette which costs at least $85 (AUD) which you can purchase from http://www.lululipstick.com and ships worldwide within Australia for a flat rate of $10, but it will set you back in the purse string department!

So, in comparison this palette is way more affordable for a fraction of the price, and you can try this palette before buying such an expensive palette if you are still a beginner in the makeup world.

I rate this palette 10/10 as the powders are pigmented and high in quality. The powders come out beautifully on the face, hardly creases when put onto the skin and gives of a flawless matte finish which i love.  when highlighting and contouring there isn’t meant to be a shimmer in the product and this is spot on as all shades are matte and super blend-able which makes it so easy for anyone to use even if you are new to the world of highlighting and contouring.

This product is defiantly one to try.
